Really a great job by Harres and Ruoff, the production and the mastering of the all album respect and put together sounds that keep the dark side of D going up and up. The breaked strings of 3002 are amazing. The asking voices of Open your eyes makes you wonder why you are here.

Phace is comprised of two long time friends Florian and Nicolas. Both twenty-four years of age, they hail from South-West Germany. Since forming in 1999 they have been dedicated, some would say addicted, to refining their unique sound: deep, futuristic and spacey d&b. After seven years of Phace have put together something of a masterpiece: "Psycho" is the very definition of cutting-edge music, it's all about pushing the limits, sonically. After an eerie intro, the futuristic horns intimidate listeners before Phace unleash the fury. Check their signature.

I remember the excitement of going into my local record shop & finding a gem like this put aside for me. Glad to see Phace never compromised his style through the years. This is neuro at it's finest & most undiluted

This could well be one of the last great DnB albums where all tracks are as strong as the last. There have been good albums since but not with the same consistent quality and integrity of this. I'd put it up there with Calyx's No Turning Back, Stakka & Skynet's Clockwork and BSE's Driving Insane. A must have in the collection for Neurofunk and Techstep heads. This has got a regular listen from me since it's release and it refuses to get tired.
Blackbrand
This release is a classic....and the continuation of a sub-genre in its infancy. I find myself playing this LP on a monthly basis all these years later. This is NWA to hip-hop. Lol maybe not that far.....but I said it!
Agalas
Somewhat hard to find, but if you're into hard drum & bass, it's worth the search. Great drum programming was the biggest thing I noticed upon first listen.
Tisicai
Agreed.Perhaps this is just me being silly, but I've always thought Phace's programming never gets the recognition it should.
Cherry The Countess
A truly awesome and underrated album.
Detenta
Scary stuff from the german boys with their first album. A must have as most of these tracks are dancefloor killers.

What an album ! The all thing get everyone jump off with those productions. The sound of Phace it's like the deep movement that you'll get inside yourselves while dancing on Open your eyes, 3002, Psycho, Tranquilizer... Really a great job by Harres and Ruoff, the production and the mastering of the all album respect and put together sounds that keep the dark side of D going up and up. The breaked strings of 3002 are amazing. The asking voices of Open your eyes makes you wonder why you are here. Repeating shapes of Rational, Finger-food keeps your mind over the place where you are, makes you travel in silent and secret spaces. There's storys behind Phace's distorded sounds, and that's the most important off all kind of music, i think...
