About Views . Views is Drake’s fourth studio album, excluding 2015’s mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late. Drake announced on August 6, 2014 that the title of his next album would be Views From The 6. Drake would shorten it to Views closer to the album release. The build-up for the album has been bigger than any of his albums, thanks to the long delay between 2013’s Nothing Was The Same and 2016-his longest break between albums to date.

As expected, Drake’s Views album debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with an explosive first week. The set earned . 4 million equivalent album units in the week ending May 5 in the . according to Nielsen Music. Views is Drake’s sixth straight No. 1 album, and follows the chart topping bows of What a Time To Be Alive (with Future, in 2015), If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late (2015), Nothing Was the Same (2013), Take Care (2012) and Thank Me Later (2010). His only charting album to miss the top was his debut EP, So Far Gone, which peaked at No. 6 in 2009.

2016's Views is another in a string of dour transmissions from the dark night of Drake's soul. As before, he casts himself as both the melancholy bachelor looking out over the city from his penthouse manor, and the criminally underrated rap genius demanding his due, and it's one album too many for both personas. He's already delved deeply into his insecurities, lambasted all his exes, and displayed his fierce self-pride, never shying away from telling everyone exactly where he started and how far he's come.

Drake's 20-song, 82-minute Views finally premiered on Thursday night (April 28), and you know we were right there with Apple Music blasting, running through the 6 with Aubrey D. Graham all over again. And you also know we've got our instant track-by-track analysis ready for you. As with our track-by-track for Beyoncé's Lemonade, consider this a premature evaluation-an avid, loving and critical one-and a heads-up for what to expect as you begin spending time with Drake's Views in your life

Drake's fourth proper album feels claustrophobic and too long and weirdly monotone, but the occasional tweaks in sound lead to a few great moments. Drake's fourth proper album feels claustrophobic and too long and weirdly monotone, but the occasional tweaks in sound lead to a few great moments.

Views is the fourth studio album by Canadian rapper Drake. It was released on Friday 29 April 2016. The album cover features Drake seating on top of Toronto's iconic CN Tower. It was shot by Toronto photographer Caitlin Cronenberg.

I have a completely new copy of this version and I'm selling it... I don't know why it isn't permitted to sell on Discogs :(
fabscf
because it’s a bootleg! and that’s why you can’t sell it here

Drake's new album, as successful as it is, is probably his most disappointing. The album does have some interesting production along with it, but at the same time I feel like he's not trying hard to have that same mentality that he had when he made IF YOU'RE READING THIS, IT'S TOO LATE or NOTHING WAS THE SAME. Overall, I can't deny this man's success, for there are a few good songs on here (Feel No Ways, Weston Road Flows, Child's Play, Views), but four songs out of nineteen does not really make a good album for me. I just hope he steps it up next time in the near future.

What's the audio quality like ; as good as if your reading this it's too late?
Fecage
Actually not that bad, it sounds digitally sourced but it's not a The Life of Pablo fiasco. Very decent for casual listening.

I would like to purchase this album. Is it available for purchase?

It was (and probably will be again) at vinyl-digital.de - a German retailer

Mysterious Wrench
My copy has at least track 4 - Feel No Ways (wrongly ?) edited (clean version, no N word...).

Diverse album. Enjoyed it, it's a pleasure to see Hip Hop artists put on their city so nicely.I wrote an in depth blog post here: http://www.phantasiastudios.com/blogs/music/views-from-the-6/http://www.phantasiastudios.com/

In my opinion this album wasn't as good as If You're Reading This It's Too Late or What A Time To Be Alive, but I do believe it is better than some of his previous albums such as Nothing Was The Same and Take Care. As stated in an interview, the whole album progresses through seasons of Drake's life-from Winter to Summer and back to Winter again(giving it a colder vibe that lightens up just to be cold again). The change of the seasons has to do with the different relationships he has established/lost which ultimately produces a sour taste in your ear. It is apparent that almost everything he states on the album has significant/personal meaning to Drake-but the overall production is repetitive at times with harsh rap beats and poppy synth production which makes this album seem like a step backwards. Even the messages on the album are pretty limited to Drake's relationships, it's not about him growing as a producer or having a really big team that need some really nice things. It's about Drake and his relationships-that's it. So it didn't feel like it was "views from the 6 (Toronto)," but more like views of Drake's relationships by Drake. With the cheesy terrible lines, overwhelmingly repetitive beats/poppy synth-It is clear this album won't have the same impact as his previous albums. Even the most well known song "Hotline Bling" is the highlight of the album that he saves as a "bonus" track. 3/5Favorite tracks: 9, Redemption, Still Here, Child's Play, One Dance, Hotline Bling.Least favorite tracks: Faithful, Controlla, Too Good, Summers Over Interlude, Fire and Desire, Views.
